User guide for the skin compressor

The skin compressor is a function which can pack multiple Minecraft skins into one skin pack, a skin archive, which can be installed easily into the Minecraft Pocket edition.

What is a skin pack?

A skin pack is a Zipped archive file, having special structures inside and a ".mcpack" file extension. You can learn more about skin packs on the official bedrock edition document by Microsoft. A skin pack can be easily installed as a whole and can help players to organize the skins. Moreover, by setting properties in the skin pack, your skin's name will be displayed and properties will be set properly automatically.

How can you create skin packs by using this function?

On the first page of this function, you can upload skin files. But remember to set the name for the skin pack. After doing this, we will process your request (which will take some time). Then, you will be redirected to the process page. There are 3 sections on the page, on the top left of the PC UI or the top of the Mobile UI is the skin list, click on it to choose the skin you want to change the properties. On the bottom left of the PC UI or the middle of the mobile UI are the pack operations. You can add skins, change the package name download this package or download the output archive. On the right-hand side of the PC UI or the bottom-most of the mobile UI, shows the skin property. You can modify the properties of each single skin (you can change your skin by clicking on buttons on the skin list). For you the users to know the specific file name of each skin, we use a 3d viewer to create a model to ensure you know which skin you are currently updating. When you are downloading the archive, you may encounter issues due to the browser automatically adding ".zip" to the file name. Please delete this and make sure it ends with ".mcpack". After that, you can publish your skin pack.
